chatted with some chinese factory friends the other day and believe it or not, they said Uniqlo's cutting & jeans engineering are one of the most detailed; it's very good value when you compare their retail price to the materials and stitches they're applying. GAP is farrr behind...

"Something not too pricy but of good value."

If that's what you're looking for, then Uniqlo it is. Cheaper than GAP and of higher quality and last longer. Also, forget the hype, you're getting these jeans for work (well...it depends on where you work...)

Their jeans are OK; sometimes I find them too short or too long -- never quite the right fit! But I agree -- much better than Giodano or GAP, especially in the cut.

GAP used to have better cuts. sad they changed...

I see...seems like demand is outstripping supply at the moment.

Will make my way down very soon once I find the time...thanks all for your input!

i would say their jeans have generous cuts, which makes it more forgiving for ample figures.

Bang for buck = that would depend on the fit and wash.

But Uniqlo in Singapore needs to restock more frequently. They are always out of sizes.
