Bang for buck = that would depend on the fit and wash. But Uniqlo in Singapore needs to restock more frequently. I lived in Tokyo for 2 years and Uniqlo provided the most affordable, quality basicwear... compared to the horrendously expensive clothes at the department stores or fashion boutiques. Their jeans fit me perfectly and don't shrink or discolour too much in the wash. Better than Giordana or GAP if you ask me. :) I LOOOOOOVE Uniqlo!
